Inventory decision in a periodic review inventory model with two complementary products

چکیده

Abstract Interaction effect across complementary products plays an important role in characterizing the optimal inventory policy. The levels of are interrelated due to interaction between demand streams. In this paper, we consider a periodic review base-stock policy presence two with demands and joint replenishment. Demands modeled by Poisson process any unmet is lost. can be sets one unit each or jointly. If arrival requests jointly not stock, then whole We aim investigate how phenomenon influences period length utilize renewal reward theorem derive explicit expression expected profit rate system. goal determine such that maximized. Enumeration approximation algorithms employed find near-optimal solutions, respectively. algorithm based on scenario independent processes which results for long-run per time leads analytical solutions policies. Our numerical reveal obtained close solutions. Numerical experiences show maximum system achieved if proportion customers increases. Moreover, has significant impact control performance when units lost sales holding costs high, rare low.

Coordination and profit sharing in a two-level supply chain under periodic review inventory policy with delay in payments contract

In this paper,a coordination model has been investigated for a two-level supply chain (SC) consisting of one retailer and one supplier under periodic review inventory system. The review period and the retailer’s safety factorare assumed to be decision variables. The retailer faces stochastic demand following a normal distribution with known mean and variance. Moreover, it is assumed that unmet ...

A two-item two-warehouse periodic review inventory model with transshipment

We study a two-item two-warehouse periodic review inventory model that allows transshipment between warehouses and emergency orders. The model helps to determine two decisions: (i) the order up to levels for the two items at the two warehouses, and (ii) whether to accept a transshipment request from the other warehouse. The acceptance of a transshipment request in a warehouse depends on the tim...

Turnpike policies for periodic review inventory model with emergency orders

This paper presents a periodic review capacitated lot sizing model with limited backlogging and a possibility of emergency orders. The main intention of placing emergency orders is to satisfy the demand as soon as a shortage occurs. It is assumed that the demands are independently distributed in successive periods. There are two resupply modes available: a regular mode and an emergency mode. He...

Stock Rationing in a Continuous Review Two-Echelon Inventory Model

In this paper we consider a 1-warehouse, N-retailer inventory system where demand occurs at all locations. We introduce an inventory model which allows us to set different service levels for retailers and direct customer demand at the warehouse. For each retailer a critical level is defined, such that a retailer replenishment order is delivered from warehouse stock if and only if the stock leve...

A Periodic-Review Base-Stock Inventory System with Sales Rejection

We consider a system in which an order is placed every T periods to bring the inventory position up to the base stock S. We accept demand until the inventory position reaches a sales rejection threshold M. Our objective is to find the optimal values of S and M which minimize the long-run average cost per period. We establish the stationary distribution of our system and develop structural prope...
